But His head is dignified and His eyes certainly the most beautiful I have ever seen and the expressions around His mouth is very friendly, though also dignified and serious. His voice can be called truly manly and delightful; for at least to my ears it sounded more pleasant than the purest and most beautiful song." (GGJ II, 241:12) "Could it be the One in the large company Who is wearing a rose-coloured robe and over it a Greek merino overcoat of a light blue colour and certainly has the fairest (blond) hair we have ever seen on a man? “[04] And yet there were at the end of yonder endlessly long developmental periods of the primeval spirits those who, although comprehending God’s correct educational paths, chose in the end to not want to know anything of these ways, but instead chose the much shorter one on account of temporary advantages, deviating from the path well-mapped-out by God, entering upon the path of their very own self-destruction. [05] Because the principal spirit of light, indwelt by countless other spirits of light, each one imbued most richly with countless intelligences, said to himself: „What more do I need? Within me lie all attributes as within God, and God has placed all power within me. Now I am strong and mighty over everything. He has given away everything He possessed, and I have taken over the lot. Now God has nothing left, whilst I have everything; and we are going to see whether the advantages of transgressing the given commandment are of all that short a duration after all. We should think: with our present all might and omnipotence, we shall be able to quite handsomely prolong the supposed brevity of that span to eternities. Who shall be able to prevent us from doing so? Besides ourselves, infinite space, now populated by only ourselves, carries no higher might and intelligence than our own; who should be able to contest our advantages?‟ « 4. Say I, 'You I have prepared through word and teaching. When I came to you a few days ago you took Me for a very wise and highly accomplished physician and when you saw Me accomplish unusual deeds, you began to take Me for a prophet through whom God's Spirit acted. But being a man of much experience, you felt prompted to find out how I had achieved such perfection. Thereupon I revealed to you what man is and what is in him, besides what can become of man when he has fully recognised himself, achieving fullest life-liberty of his spirit therewith!
5. But then I also showed you how God Himself is a Man and whence you too, as well as all beings like you, also are men. I then also showed you confidentially that I Myself am that Man and that every man is called to become and be forever what I Myself am. You were astonished, knowing from then on Who I am. 6. And behold, this was a purposeful preparation of your soul and spirit, so that you could now watch Me create an earth, or men from stones, without being harmed. Because you accepted freely, and that in a fully scientific way, that God can be a Man and man can be a god! And so it can no longer trouble your soul and spirit to fully comprehend that I alone am the One true God and Creator of all things from eternity. 7. But it is quite different with other people, who on the whole are not accessible to the scientific approach. These only have faith and otherwise little understanding. 8. The faith of the soul however is nearer to life than the most perfect intellect. If the faith is a coerced one however, then it also becomes a shackle to the soul. If however the soul is shackled, then there can be no talk of the development of the spirit within it. 19 March 1873
"I have been giving you several words on this topic and you were shown from various aspects what life is, what it means, and vet there are many more aspects from which life deserves to be carefully considered, One can then finally progress and take a step forward in the cognition of the meaning of life, and how this very life visibly and in visibly only represents My own spiritual self and how the same, though with various means and on various paths, must lead everything back to Me! Under "Life of Spirits and Cosmic Life" I showed you how, gradually, every bound Life, freeing itself, always pressed upward to higher levels, thereby proving and making conceivable to you the origin and beginning of the spiritual and cosmic realm, as well as the inevitable end of the latter. In that word I afforded you a profound insight into My secrets of creation. However, one more factor is missing, which perhaps, regarding the various contradictions in My creation, can be reconciled with My words given and again being given to you today. It is the statement as to how the phrase "God is Love" can be reconciled with the various contradictions in visible nature which testify against it! The purpose of this word shall be to better elucidate and explain this to you, so that you may even more clearly recognize that My words are really the words of a God, a supreme Creator and an ever-loving Father. You see, I have told you in the previous word that everywhere in matter it is only imprisoned spirits, offshoots of My own divine self, that constitute the entire visible creation and the essential part in that which exists. I told you that the material is of secondary importance or the necessary envelopment, so that individual spirit-parts in the entire universe can be made into as it were independent, separate beings. As explained in the New Revelation, there is but one eternal and infinite God in whom is combined the fullness of divine love, wisdom and might. Father, Son and Holy Spirit are but different aspects of this sole God. The Father is the divine power-center of love, the Son is the emanating wisdom, the Holy Spirit the radiating energy. In Jesus, Father, Son and Holy Spirit or love, wisdom and energy were united in a visible human form of manifestation. We ask ourselves: How can the fullness of the Infinite Deity be concentrated in a visible, finite human form? The New Revelation writings explain also this mystery with great clarity. The fact that, above all, this great mystery is revealed and that we may learn why the Father, the Infinite Deity, faces us in the fullness of His light and power in the man Jesus, points to the great and unique significance of the knowledge conveyed through the Lord's scribe, Jacob Lorber. To understand this mystery, we must remember what has been said in the New Revelation works regarding the power-center of the Deity. We are told that the Deity is not a universal soul, evenly spread over all infinity, but a, so to speak, centrally organised life-energy; that It has a central point wherein all its energies are united, for supremely perfect uniform action, radiating into all infinity like the rays of a sun. “[1] The scribe said: “Yes, Lord and Master, but I am standing now as if completely annihilated before You, for what is man compared to You?”
[2] I said: “Just look at My disciples. They are already more than 2 years continually around Me and know Me certainly much better than you now, but not one of them stood annihilated before Me. [3] It is true that to Moses, when he wanted to see Jehovah’s face, it was said: ‘No one can see God and keep his life at the same time’, that means the life of his body. But at that time it was only regarding the eternal Spirit of God, since God did not yet assume a body at that time, for according to His eternal order it was not yet the time for that. [4] But now, according to the prediction of the prophets, Jehovah has assumed the body of men of this Earth, and so between Himself, as the initial eternal Spirit, and men He placed a protective wall, so that they can see Him, touch Him, hear and talk to Him without causing damage to their life, and no one should be afraid to be annihilated by My visible presence. [5] Although there was an endless gap between Me and you men by which even the most perfect angel spirit could not even approach Me, but now a bridge has been built across that gap, and that one is formed by the love for Me from your side, while I from My side have become a Man Myself of flesh and blood out of My eternally great and above all mighty love for you men, and have also taken your weaknesses upon Me, so that I will not be an eternally distant God, but that I can be a completely close and easy to reach Father, Friend and Brother, which you can become and stay according to the measure of your love for Me. [1] You ask: How will we elicit fire from our hearts so that we may kindle this wood? O, brothers and friends! What a question from you! Is not a single thought of Jesus sufficient to make the heart burst out in flames for Him? O, brothers and friends! If you could comprehend what this Name of all names says, what effect it has in it, you should instantly pass into such a powerful love for Jesus, and this fire would be sufficient to ignite a whole army of suns, making them burn a thousand times brighter in their endlessly wide space regions, than is presently the case. [2] I say to you, Jesus' greatness is so tremendous that, when His Name is spoken, the whole of infinity trembles with great reverence. If you say: God, you also call the very highest being; but you call it in its infinity, it is fulfilling the infinite universe and works with His infinite power from eternity to eternity. But in the name of Jesus, you designate the perfect, powerful, essential center of God, or even more clearly: [3] Jesus is the true, most authentic, essential God as man, from whom all divinity, which fulfills infinity, emerges as the Spirit of His infinite power, might, and form like rays from the sun. - Jesus is, therefore, the sum total of the Divinity, or: In Jesus, the Divinity dwells truly physically in its most infinite abundance; and therefore the whole Divine infinity is always animated when this infinitely most sublime Name is spoken! [4] And this is, at the same time, the infinite grace of the Lord, that it has pleased Him to accept the grain kernel of mankind. But why did He do this? Listen, I will reveal to you a little secret! [5] Before the Lord's incarnation, a man could never speak to the true nature of God. No one could ever see it without completely losing life, as Moses says, "no one can see God and live at the same time!" The Lord in the primordial Church, as well as in the Church of Melchizedek, to whom Abraham himself was acquainted, was often seen in person, and has spoken with His saints and taught His children Himself. But this personal master was in fact not the Lord Himself but at all times only an angelic spirit filled with the Spirit of God for this purpose. [6] From such an angelic spirit, the Spirit of the Lord then spoke, as if the Lord Himself spoke directly. But, in such an angelic spirit, the fullest perfection of the Spirit of God was never present, but only to the extent necessary for the immediate purpose. 14 January 1875
"Many times the plaintive sound has reached My ear, coming from a person who accused Me of injustice, of harshness because his Life and the events determining it had not turned out according to his beliefs, hopes and desires. Often I have heard the entreaty of an oppressed soul as, battling with all the misery of human life, driven by the greatest pain, it calls out: “But Father and Lord, what have I done for You to persecute me with all possible tribulations, while showering others with good fortune abundantly without knowing why they have actually deserved it!” Thus and in a thousand other ways complaints are raised against My fairness, against My words saying that I am Love and unable to punish, etc. Against Me, as an implacable judge, a strict but not loving Father, complaints are raised which on the surface, according to human concepts, even seem to be justified. So let us look closely at these complaints and accusations, and also discuss the question as to why there are in human society so many stations, professions and trades, why there are in the human heart so many inclinations towards one or the other calling. Since I have explained to you often enough the spirit-life after death, I will also solve for you these questions relating to the human life so near you. You will then, firstly, stop accusing Me and, secondly, you will realize what the goal of human Life is, just as it is and not as you would like to design it. "[2] Only this period of creation is destined, on a small world like this earth, to have Me in My eternal, primordially divine Being - for all the preceding creations as well as for all those forever following - incarnated in a finite for and to be taught by Me personally. [3] My aim was not only to create for all future times and eternities for Myself children fully resembling Me, but to truly educate them through My fatherly love, so hat they would then be, together with Me, rulers of the whole infinity. [4] To this end I, the everlasting, eternal God, have clothed the primordial center of My divine Being in the flesh so that I could show Myself to you, My children, as a visible and tangible Father and teach you through My own mouth the true divine love wisdom and power." "There are many who say: “There is nothing wrong with searching for the kingdom of God; but if only it were easier to find, and if only there were a church or a Christian congregation somewhere through which the proper path to God’s kingdom could be found.” Rome proclaims: „I alone am the right path!” And all the other churches make the same claim. Should you travel one or the other of these paths that is supposed to lead to the kingdom of God, you will probably find everything else, but you will not find the promised kingdom of God. What I have to say in regard to this is as follows: When one has to search too long for even the most precious object, one will in time discontinue one’s search. But whose fault is it? That of he seeker himself, if he looks for the kingdom of God where it cannot be found rather than where it can. It is clearly written that the kingdom of God does not come with external splendor, but rather it is within a human being. Its cornerstone is Christ, the one and only God and Lord of Heaven and Earth, temporary and eternally in space as in infinity, in Whom the heart must believe, and above all Whom the heart must love, and love its fellow man like itself. |
