The Supreme/ third Heaven/ Heaven of Love/ The city of Jerusalem - that in which the Lord God dwells as the Sun of Grace "In the center above this City (City of Jerusalem or the third Heaven or the Heaven of Love) is the 'most glorious Sun of all suns', the Sun of Grace whose light is much brighter than that of the earthly natural sun, yet is as delightful to behold as the light of the most beautiful Morning Star." (From Hell to Heaven II/284, 7 on) There, in this to all beings inaccessible light of the Sun of Grace dwells the divine Primordial Fundamental Being, i.e., the Primordial Power Center of God, the "Father", as the most perfect Primordial Spiritual Man in the envelopment of the transfigured soul of Jesus, which is forever united into one Person with the Father. (About the relationship between the Father-God-Spirit and the Jesus soul, the Lord tells us this: "He Who sent Me was the Spirit of God, as the Father from eternity. I (Jesus) was, and am, His soul which, as the most sublime and perfected Soul of all souls, has Its own capacity of cognition and (volition). In spite of this, this Soul was not (and is not) allowed to do what It willed (and wills), but only what He willed (and wills) from Whom It has gone forth." (Sunsets to Sunrises/E.M., chap. 70)[...]) "Behold, this sun I am actually Myself; Bellow us (i.e., below the Love Heaven) there are two more celestial spheres, namely, towards evening a 'Wisdom Heaven' and towards midday a 'Love-Wisdom' Heaven'. The dwellers in these two heavens behold Me only as a sun, namely, the same sun you and all the others now see shining in the center, above the City. Although I am also in the Sun, I am only here, in the uppermost heaven, outside of the sun, visible and approachable to the blessed. Outside of the sun I am that as which you are all seeing Me amongst you (i.e., embodied in the soul-form of Jesus.). However, in the sun I am only spiritually through and in the power of My will, My love and My wisdom. I Myself (as center of the God-Spirit) am fundamentally in this sun and I am this sun. Nevertheless, there is a difference between Myself and this sun. I am the First Cause and this sun is like an emanation of My Spirit, which from here, thus out of Me, pervades all infinity in undiminished strength, creating everywhere My eternal order." (From Hell to Heaven II/283, 12 on) "The rays emanating from this sun pervade as such the whole of infinity, being nothing else but My love and My will and the therefrom forever issuing wisdom. Thus these emanations fully represent My essence everywhere. Wherever such a ray falls, there I am Myself fully present, just as in the sun, not active, but in person, and this personality is in all places one and the same. Wherever you want to go here (in the upper spheres of the heavens) you will find Me completely at home. Go to as many of these little dwellings visible to you as you like and you can be assured of finding Me in each one as a perfect host. Surely you will say now that in this way I cannot be the real, authentic Christ, Who walked and taught on earth, but only a living, perfect image of the same, Who nevertheless actually dwells in the inaccessible light. You also say: 'If that is how matters stand, this surely amounts to polytheism!' Listen, My dear friend, brother and son! In this respect you are still thinking in a material way. However, once you will see this matter in a different light. But I will guide you by way of some natural examples so that you might more easily pass from your material way of thinking into the spiritual." (Spiritual Sun I/60) "Behold, on earth you saw only one sun. But when you held a mirror against the sun, the same sun was also in the mirror. You cannot possibly say that the sun you saw in the mirror was a different sun from that shinning in the sky. If you had put up several thousand such mirrors, would you not behold in every mirror a perfect sun imparting an equally strong light and the same warmth to you? You say that this should surely be the case. I will give you a still more convincing example. You will sometimes have heard on earth of the effect of great concave mirrors. When you catch the rays of the sun with the aid of such a mirror, there will be often when reflected from the mirror be more than a thousandfold stronger in their effect than the original rays from the real, natural sun. If you put up several thousand such mirrors opposite the sun, you will on that occasion become aware of the same intense effect in every one of them. This is certainly and perfectly true. But what is it, then, that produces this effect? Look, nothing else but always one and the same sun, which you have multiplied through the considerable number of mirrors. Now I ask you: 'Was the sun through this multiplication in all earnest multiplied?' - You say: 'Actually only the effect was!' - 'Very well! How many suns did you then have in your mirrors?' - You reply: 'Counting by the mirrors, as many as there were mirrors; but counting by the sun, I had always only one and the same sun.' Look, what this natural example shows is demonstrated to you here in the fullness of the greatest living truth. Naturally you think: 'Of course I see this. Yet if one were to study all the mirrored suns in order to come to conclusions about the peculiar nature of the sun, all the mirrored suns would be useless and the true nature of the sun would still remain a complete riddle to the investigating eye.' This is correct. But what would you and the earth have gained if the real sun had actually approached you as closely as you drew it near you with the aid of the mirror? Look, in that case the whole earth, including you, would have been dissolved instantly, like a small drop of water on a white-hot iron. What, then, would the approach of the real sun have benefited you? This holds true even more with My sun. It must be forever in an inaccessible center, which no created being can approach beyond the destined order would bring to every being complete annihilation. This also Moses was told when he wanted to behold God's countenance. For by 'beholding' you must here not understand visual perception, but the complete drawing near to the fundamental essence of the Deity. Behold, if I am One and the Same, just as I am in the sun and as I am before you so that you can approach Me as one brother approaches another - is this not worth more? And is it not greater love and mercy than if you could really approach this sun, only to be completely destroyed by it? Furthermore, how incomplete would be your and My beatitude if I were incapable of being present personally, as Father, in My whole fullness wherever My children are. See, heaven is infinite. Without such a personal, endless multiplication on My part, which does not detract from My inner unity, how orphaned My children would be and how lonely I Myself would be and how lonely I Myself would be in their midst! That I am perfectly the Same, having the same living, divine awareness and all the divine love, wisdom and power in their fullness, you can deduce from the fact that I guided you here personally, in this way showing you the might of My love, My wisdom and My perfect divine will. I am forever One and the Same in every human heart. And when millions upon millions have filled their hearts with Me, each one for himself separately, it does not mean that each one has a special, different Christ to himself, but that in each heart is dwelling one and the same Christ perfectly." (Spiritual Sun I/60. 304-305; comp. also Spiritual Sun 198:1) “As to His whereabouts, the answer is somewhat more difficult, although it all comes to the same thing. In general terms however, He dwells in the eternal East, and from a natural, terrestrial aspect, with the region of the constellation ‘Leo’, and that in the corresponding spiritual central sun, which envelopes the natural one by the name ‘Regulus’, and beyond that all of infinity." (From Hell to Heaven, chap. 140:3) "In the center above this City is the 'most glorious Sun of all suns', the Sun of Grace whose light is much brighter than that of the earthly natural sun, yet is as delightful to behold as the light of the most beautiful Morning Star."
