"If you love God above all according to My teaching and thus, one another as yourselves in every respect, you will never have to complain among each other about any want; for want and poverty among the man of this earth are only the outcome of their lack of love for each other."(GGJ IX, 20:4) "You should not despair at any ever so untoward occurrences on this earth. For the Father in Heaven knows about them and also knows best for what reason He allows them." (GGJ II, 169:11) "[1] (The Lord:) There are in the world a great many dangers for the soul. On the one hand, you have poverty; its concepts about what is mine and what is thine keep getting vaguer the more a person is troubled by it. Therefore, if you want to walk safely, do not allow poverty to grow too much among the people. 2] He who is already poor should ask his better-off brothers for help if necessary. If he finds hardened hearts, let him turn to Me and he shall be helped. Poverty and need are no excuse for theft and robbery and even less for killing a victim of robbery. He who is poor knows where to turn.
[3] Although poverty is a great nuisance to people, it carries within it the noble germ of meekness and true modesty and will, therefore, always remain with mankind. Still, the rich should not let it grow too much or they will be in great danger here, as well as in the beyond." (GGJ IV, 79)
