...and everything to do with the love of His love. I have taken a glimpse to His wisdom and seen examples of His power. These are the ones who shake and overwhelm the fragile human heart. But I have also picked up some holy drops of His love, beyond His greatest gift, sign and wonder.
These drops are more precious to me than my life in eternity, for I would gladly give not only this short life, but also an eternal one for just a moment in which I would be one with such one drop and thus, one with Him. There is a presentiment of the following incredible happiness, that cannot be express in the poor human way of language. Not even the greatest form of art wouldn't help. Only the tears, the sweet river of tears can give a small sign of it. Oh, yes, Mr. Dawkins and others like him should better discover this before claiming that fear of death turns people into believers. Love of the holy love takes all in the true believer's heart. Consequently, fear of death is out of it and stays out for ever. May our dear Lord and Father use us to bring His light to all the good and lonely hearts of the people who haven't yet recognized Him! God is a true God, a loving Father who has never failed to reveal His will to men. Also during the past almost 2000 years His revelations have kept flowing to individual recipients, to men and women who loved Him deeply with all their being and were thus capable of receiving His Word, either through visions or through the Inner Word, or both. These mystics and seers received the pure divine teaching and it was their task to spread it and thereby restore the original teaching to its former purity. But they did not succed because people's minds were held captive through fear and ignorance, and only few benefited from the divine revelations.
The most comprehensive of these revelations was received last century by the Styrian mystic and seer Jakob Lorber through the Inner Word. Born at Kanisha (Austria) on July 22, 1800 as the son of a vineyardist who was in his spare time the leader of a popular band, Jakob Lorber grew up in a poor rural environment, but in a family that was deeply religious and dedicated to music. From his father, Jakob had inherited a versatile musical talent and he early learnt to play the violine, piano and organ. This helped him later to pay for his education, first in Marburg and then in Graz, the Styrian capital, where in 1829 he obtained a diploma as a teacher for intermediate schools. But when he could not find a suitable position, he reverted to his particular love, music. He gave lessons in singing and the violine, practised for hours every day, composed and sometimes gave concerts, alone or together with others. He was succesful, but never to the extent he had hoped for. During the years he devoted to music, Lorber followed also his inclination to deepen his spiritual understanding, diligently studying the Bible as well as the works of men who followed the "inward path", among others such mystics as Jakob Boehme and Emmanuel Swedenborg. Thoughtful man, however much he may be involved in the affairs of the world, is always longing for clarity about those things we rightly feel to be the actual permanent foundation of our existence. The points in question are: God, creation, man, destiny, and the world beyond, and still today they resist all our efforts to gain true clarity about them.
As far as intellectual knowledge goes, many things regarding the natural world have been discovered during the past century. The result was an unprecedented technological development and a thriving economy. But has man thereby become wiser, better and happier? No! These findings about nature remained superficial. In the minds of scientists creation became a sense- and soulless mechanism. The whole world, deprived of spirit and God, broke down in the catastrophe of two world wars released through mankind´s unrestrained tyranny and selfishness. The intellect, this scrappy, superficial faculty of perception, has truly ruined the cultural world. If a development ends in evident madness, in wars of robbery and destruction, there must somewhere be a fundamental error. For the benefit of all mankind, every living being has in his soul, in addition to the outward light of intellect, also another, inner light, a spiritual faculty of perception by which a higher impulse speaks to him. Poets, artists, inventors, ingenious thinkers call it their inspiration, their genius. Seers and prophets perceive it as an inner voice of God. And even in the animal it manifests miraculously in the instinct. by H.W. Nowack
H i l d e g a r d v o n B i n g e n, the great German prophetess of the 12th century, the "prophetissa teutonica" (1098-1179 A.D.) in her work "Liber Divinorum operum" (Book of Divine Works) which has arisen in the years 1163-1173, has already announced, approximately 700 years before its arrival, the "New Gospel of John...which had not yet been revealed and which would be the beginning of another work." Here it can only be unequivocally meant the "Great Gospel of John" which the Lord has dictated to his scribe, Jakob Lorber, from 1851 till 1864, since John's Gospel in the Bible has already been a part of it for a long time (the Bible is known in its present context since the 4th century A.D., especially since the Council of Nicea, around 325 A.D.) Hildegard von Bingen writes about it in the above-named work (Book of Divine Works), as follows:- "The mentioned vision (vision about the world - revelation) taught me the words and the content of this Gospel, which is about the beginning of the work of God (see the New Testament, Ch. 1 Verse 1 of St. John's Gospel, likewise the Great Gospel of John, Jakob Lorber, Ch. 1: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and God was the Word. The same was in the beginning with God."), and gave to me the understanding for it. And I received insight that this explanation must be, at the same time, the start of another work which was not yet revealed. In it many questions and the mysterious order of God's creation shall be examined." from the German magazine"Das Wort", 3rd issue, May/June, 1978 (48th year) - english translation by Lucy Daugalis)
Now, there are, in the history of religions and also of Christianity, many prophets and founders of religions who refer to an inner voice and a mission and to which, as a Catholic, one must take a skeptical stand. Jakob Lorber, however, cannot be fitted into this category. There are many convincing signs for the authenticity of his manuscript as being an actual revelation of God. Firstly, Lorber has not exploited that which he wrote down in any way during his life, either spiritually or materially. He didn't engage in preaching, neither did he draw any income from it. His manuscripts stayed completely unknown in his environment; with the exception of a few friends, even long after his death. Anyhow, they would have been largely incomprehensible to the people of those days. Secondly, among other things, a hundred years before, Lorber had already made various scientific declarations upon decisive areas, which have become discovered and confirmed by the official science only a few decades ago. Thus he described , in order to name a few of the most important examples only, the structure of light, the structure of the cosmos, with its milliards of galaxies (recognized only after the construction of the 5m. telescope on Mt. Palomar, in 1949), radiotelegraphy, the aeroplanes, etc. He had moreover, also unequivocally predicted today's pollution and destruction of the environment and their effects. It is absolutely impossible that this information of Jakob Lorber could arise from his own personal spirit. However, all these signs are actually only by-products of the phenomenon of Jakob Lorber. What has fascinated me most, and in a certain manner convinced me, is the overpowering and all-embracing world panorama, which opens up in his information. It was as if suddenly the scales fell from my eyes, and all my open and unsolved questions which to me, as a philosophically inclined person, thus one who goes to the cause of the problem, remained in connection to my faith, were suddenly solved. |
