There was a discussion on Facebook when, replying to the promotion of a Krishnamurti video, I dared to affirm that something coming from a human teacher cannot be better than something coming from God...:-) The very interesting answer of a young lady to my further recommendation of seeking a teaching of God in the New Revelation (which indeed, fully confirms the Christian Scriptures) was... ”I never liked theories that rule out a great number of people. Christianity is born out of war and hate (Old Testament)...thus either it's a manufactured religion for economic purposes, either it has great issues in promoting peace, altruism and compassion of others. So let’s leave those who promote theories which splits people in believers (good) and non-believers (bad) based on their culture and religion, to those who seek war and hate. But this guy, on the other hand, speaks of all people...because fundamentally we are all the same, have a sole creator and fell love in the same way, regardless of religion, culture or race. He (Krishnamurti) is just a teacher, one who doesn't speaks in the name of any religion, but in the name of Truth and of love and other qualities which enlighten people, the more they accept them as way of life. There are few like him in the world, and I greatly hope there will be more like him in the future, because without teachers like him, our civilization will have no more guides. Love him, love you all.” Well then, to all the people reading this and agreeing with her ideas, I would warmly recommend to read the New Testament, but truly read it as a spiritual teaching and not as a cooking guide, and see if they can find there something born out of war and hate. For it’s the teaching of Jesus Christ that can be found in the New Testament (and also in a greater and purer measure in the New Revelation through Jakob Lorber and Gottfried Mayerhofer) which stands at the core of Christianity. The Old Testament is the sacred book of the Judaic religion (which, by the way, rejects the teaching of Jesus) and it was kept by the Christians with the New Testament as Scripture because some of its teachings were confirmed and explained by Jesus and because it has prophecies that speak about the coming Messiah which were exactly fulfilled by Jesus hundreds of years later.
Coming back to „a religion born out of war and hate”.... how does it sound ”love your neighbor as yourself”, ”do unto others as you would have them do unto you”, ”do not judge”, ”love your enemy”, ”forgive your fellowman mistakes seven times seventy seven”? A free thinker eager for spiritual training, could be more impartial when speaking about Christianity if he would also spend some time reading the Book of Martyrs of John Foxe and consider, what people such as Francis of Assisi, George Mueller, Florence Nightingale and many other true Christians of the past or modern times did... These people not only preached pure love for others, but also gave everything they had for love and even their lives if this was the necessary price. This belief of theirs was so strong because it was not just day dreaming or positive thinking, but because, being put into practice, it brought real miracles that didn’t leave any doubt in the mind of the believer about its validity. This world today is full of amazing conversions of criminals, prostitutes, drug addicts, Jihad fighters, Muslims, scientists, atheists and whatever category of non-believers one might want to consider... the Christian libraries and the Internet are full of their overwhelming testimonies. Any honest seeker might check spme of them and see that they are not all crazy people... Many non-believers had a Near Death Experience and came back as completely changed people, dropping everything worldly and dedicating their lives to others, out of love for Jesus Christ. Why not for Krishnamurti, Buddha, Rudolf Steiner or their dead grandmother?... Simply because it was Jesus Christ that they met in the afterlife and because they come to know His love... Observing almost any of the conversion testimonies, one can immediately understand that it is exactly this most immeasurable love attracted them to the teachings and being of Jesus Christ. * Now, about the issue with the Old Testament... This is a teaching, written hundreds of years before the New Testament by many authors, for a different humanity and, moreover, locked with many spiritual keys. Consequently, it’s not so easy to understand it... A very good proof for this is the fact that although the Pharisees were teachers of the laws of Moses and great scholars, worshipers of this book, when having among them a man who fulfill all messianic prophecies, who unlocked mysteries of their holy book, performed undeniable miracles and spoke about the love of God, they hunted him down as a criminal and finally condemn him to die on the cross. As for „the theories which rule out a great number of people”... the Christian ”theory” or teaching says most clearly that it should only brotherly love should rule the people. Not the kings, not the dictators, not the so-called representatives of God, not even God Himself. Just pure brotherly love… In fact, what many free thinkers see ruling people our days in matter of faith is not brotherly love and consequently, also not the spirit of true Christianity, but mostly man-made superstitions and rituals performed in temples and imposed by human institutions called churches. However, such honest seekers of truth will not find a better challenge of the greatest institutionalized religions than the words Jesus addressed to the Pharisees. He makes clear that human institutions belong to and are useful to humans and not to God and that indeed, people tend to use them just as a tool to enslave people and ensure for them an easy worldly domination. However, in the long run, the religious manipulators of people mostly managed to undermine their own spiritual destiny, for if many of the churchgoers were usually too lazy to seek God on their own, through the use of religious institutions at least many of them were more or less kept in a faith for a God of love who personifies everything good in man. And this is not a small thing. No way!... If one truly believes otherwise, I invite him or her to browse the history of the most powerful atheistic regimes of the XX-th century – Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Kim Ir Sen.... For one thing is certain... the human being has to believe in something in order to endure this life. And if his faith is not addressed to a God of supreme love and mercy who, while maintaining his fragile life, also allows man a complete freedom of will, it might be very well addressed to a dictator who just impose him his personal order and only allows what is first useful for himself. This dictator might, in fact, not only be a particular human being, but also a group of people, a most beloved self-image or self-possessions, an idea or an ideology, an addictive pleasure... in fact anything that serves a purpose alien to that of the universal brotherhood. In fact, there is no fundamental contradiction between a true Christian and a non-Christian who has a loving heart. There is only a different mental awareness and a different capacity of endurance... They both feel that the law of love is deeply inscribed in their heart, but while the first knows that this love is the spirit of the Creator and that it was He who put it there, the second still dwells in confusion. The matter of endurance is highlighted in the following facts of life. Without the right faith, the human love for the fellowman is usually very weak... The best people become easily embittered, disappointed by others and naturally tend to appreciate a fellow in error as an inferior and, at the limit, as one whose existence became undesirable. So, in the practice of life, a strong love for the others cannot stand in the storm, if there is no strong faith behind it. The faith is the holy chain of God's promise that makes love endure evil and, finally, overcome it. This makes the real spiritual teachings so important and that’s why I respect any writings that truly promote active love, tolerance, forgiveness, compassion and self-sacrifice. Even if I find them in a children book... However, there are some schools that speak very touching about such things, but do not bring their fruits into the life of community. This happens because they attract disciples’ attention to themselves and not to their brothers in need, thus promoting passivity and a struggle for self-realization which finally enforces the purest self-love (see "Death of a Guru" by Rabi Maharaj). This is especially valid when speaking about oriental or theosophical teachings. * Finally, in the New Testament it is written about all teachers, preachers, prophets and simple people. „By their fruits you will know them”. The one who said this put His life and sacrifice as the greatest testimony for it. Let’s then see what our fruits will be. For if they are good according to His love, also the rest of the good things will surely come.
